Which family chapters the engine opens

• Female Ancestral Karma — G, G1, G2, H, H1, H2.

Where the two lines sit

The father’s-line story runs through the top-left and bottom-right corners (F and I) and the two inner steps toward ancestral power U. The mother’s-line story runs through the top-right and bottom-left corners (G and H) the same way. Highlighted: the four corners the lines begin from, and U at the join.

How the inner ancestral steps are calculated

After F, G, H and I exist:

• U = reduce(F + G + H + I) — ancestral power.
• F2 = reduce(F + U), F1 = reduce(F + F2).
• G2 = reduce(G + U), G1 = reduce(G + G2).
• I2 = reduce(I + U), I1 = reduce(I + I2).
• H2 = reduce(H + U), H1 = reduce(H + H2).

The female chapter therefore reads G → G1 → G2 and H → H1 → H2. The male chapter reads F → F1 → F2 and I → I1 → I2. That is the whole family-line arithmetic the calculator runs.

What a line is for, and what it is not

A line is a climate: what you were allowed to want, what you were not allowed to finish, the job or silence that keeps getting recast. It is not a statement that your father was “a 17” or that your mother “is to blame.” People are larger than a corner of an octagram.

U is the weight and the permission that comes through both sides at once — what you can want because someone before you already did, and what still sits on the chest.

How each number reads as inheritance

Written for family-line seats, not for the karmic tail’s three-code combination and not for the love line.

1. 1 The Magician. Magician in a family line often means a house that started things and did not stay. The inheritance is the spark — and the unfinished first page. Finish one start they could not.
2. 2 The High Priestess. Priestess through the line is a household of secrets kept for safety. You may still hold other people’s silence. One true sentence, said without recruiting a new keeper, loosens the line.
3. 3 The Empress. Empress ancestry feeds: kitchens, businesses, children. It can also feed everyone except the feeder. The work is one need you do not wrap as care for the dead.
4. 4 The Emperor. Emperor through the men or the women is a rule that outlived the threat. Retire one law that only belongs to a house you no longer live in.
5. 5 The Hierophant. Hierophant in the line is a syllabus — faith, craft, school shame. Keep the method that still works. Do not marry the shame that came with it.
6. 6 The Lovers. Lovers ancestry repeats a split: two paths, a spare self, a marriage that was a picture. Close one spare without a speech to the family gallery.
7. 7 The Chariot. Chariot through the line is a race to arrive without help. Let someone see a finish. Proving you can do it alone is often their unfinished mile.
8. 8 Justice. Justice in the family is a case that never closed. Write the sequence. Stop before the moral they needed you to carry.
9. 9 The Hermit. Hermit ancestry is knowing that was safer than belonging. Bring one finished thought back. Isolation as loyalty to the dead is still a lamp in an empty room.
10. 10 Wheel of Fortune. Wheel through the line is luck that arrived as a window or a shove. List the steps they took or refused. Fate as a family story shrinks when the sequence is visible.
11. 11 Strength. Strength in the ancestors is the wall someone had to be. Stay after one lift, or do not lift what was theirs. Heroics inherited as duty recreate the abandonment.
12. 12 The Hanged Man. Hanged-Man line waits — a parent’s mood, a promise. End one suspension so the next help is chosen. Their rope is not a vocation.
13. 13 Death. Death through the family is a goodbye that was stolen or inflicted. Pack one inherited box all the way. Almost-closures are how a line stays employed.
14. 14 Temperance. Temperance ancestry is a house with no middle. Practise one ordinary proportion they could not keep. Swing as inheritance is still a climate.
15. 15 The Devil. Devil in the line is a bargain: wanted if you supply this. Write the bind. A chain you can see is already less of a family leash.
16. 16 The Tower. Tower ancestry stages a fall that was not spoken in time. Name the false wall. Waiting for lightning so the family does not have to talk is their favourite weather.
17. 17 The Star. Star through the line is a gift that was punished or used as the household’s pride. Place one piece where they cannot edit it. Perfect conditions were their cupboard.
18. 18 The Moon. Moon ancestry is an inherited film treated as news. Write whose fear it was. Aim one new picture at a Tuesday they never got.
19. 19 The Sun. Sun in the family is brightness as duty — the entertainer, the hope. Spend one day without being useful as weather. Note who is still there.
20. 20 Annunciation. Annunciation through the line is the role itself: watcher, messenger, child-parent. Break one inherited rule in a small, kind way. Argument is not a different Tuesday.
21. 21 The Universe. Universe ancestry is exile or a fortress against the foreign. Stay in one local loop. A map they never walked is still on their wall.
22. 22 Freedom. Freedom in the family is a flight that was never named. Finish “they left because…”. A spine needs a because; a clean vanishing is still their tail in you.

Worked example: 14 March 1992

F = 17, G = 6, H = 7, I = 5.

• U = 35 → 3 + 5 = 8 (8 Justice)
• Male inner: F2 = 25 → 2 + 5 = 7, F1 = 24 → 2 + 4 = 6; I2 = 13, I1 = 18
• Female inner: G2 = 14, G1 = 20; H2 = 15, H1 = 22
